God-incidence Hello!

This post is going to be different. It is not the typical insight or whatever I write about. This is actually more personal. This is more of a testimony or recalling of recent events.
The past 30 something hours have been a journey that I never expected. The best way to share what is going on is to give you a few snapshots of the important scenes. I am not trying to be religious or weird or odd, I can only repeat what I have seen and tasted of. Check this out...

Scene #1: Church, Wednesday Night - 9:40 - 10:05 PM

Wednesday night after worship practice, My pianist, Bassist, and I got into a discussion about the power of the Holy Spirit. Our conversation was sparked by theology touched on during the church prayer meeting earlier that evening. We talked about the power of healing manifested through the Spirit, how choices and free will play into the issue of faith, and whether healing was God's will. It was a great conversation, and I walked away with a different perception of the Spirit and how He works. Our conversation had confirmed some thoughts that I have been having about the power and manifestations of the Holy Spirit. God moved.

Scene #2: A House, Wednesday Night - 10:10 PM - 12:30 AM

After the enlightening conversation with my brothers, I went to a small group meeting. Our small group was born out of the van ride back from New Orleans, in which between St. Louis and Lawrence The presence of God was revealed to us and the Holy Spirit moved among us. This encounter is known as the van ride with God.
At our small group meeting we had a time of silence in which we focused on the Father and merely listened. It was there that God spoke in a way that I would not have expected. I was floored at how God moved. I was stunned at what He said very clearly and pontedly to me. This was an encounter unexpected but much needed. God moved.

Scene #3: Thursday Afternoon, University -Library (SHOP), 12:40 PM

After all of my classes, I decided to go to SHOP and spend what I thought would be 10 minutes praying and talking with God. I arrived and sat down in the room. Several students were there, some praying out loud, others reading the word or praying silently. The Spirit was there very heavily. Soon we all began to pray with a passion for our campus and a reviving of the students. God moved.

Scene #4: Thursday Afternoon, Coffeshop, 5:30 - 6:45 PM

While studying for an Ancient Philosophy test, a friend arrived and we picked up a conversation that we started over lunch earlier that same day. We started talking about what God is doing at KU, what He is doing in each of our own lives, and the arriving outpouring of the Holy Spirit. As his mouth moved, it wasn't his wisdom or words that came out, but God's. As we discussed the power of the Spirit and the testimony of God's movements, we both became very excited and humbled. Events and visions that had happened in each of our lives, and in the lives of some of our mutual friends, before arriving at KU were coming to pass. God is moving. He is coming. God moved.

Scene #5: Thursday Evening, Midwest
At the Thursday night worship session of Midwest, the worship and message were both geared towards breaking out of religious trappings and living full, free lives in the Spirit. The mindset of religion traps us into a system of comparing ourselves to other standards, whereas living lives that are focused on Christ are lives that are free and thriving. Some of the verses that the speaker used were verses that Rick used the previous evening. Coincidence? At this point I no longer believed in coincidence. It was painfully apparent the tapestry of God in my life, and how all of this was working together. God moved.

Scene #6:

The snapshots do not end there. There was that conversation with a friend after Midwest in which I got the chance to talk about the beauty and satisfaction that comes from Jesus. There was the phone call before Midwest in which I found out how God had been orchestrating this season almost two years ago. There was that conversation with John where he echoed the calling that I was sensing from God. There was the conversations during the evening, the praying, the worship, and the vision. There have been so many "coincidences" in these recent conversations, prayers, and events.

I am cured of being a skeptic methinks, or at least I hope. I believe, and I have seen not coincidences, but rather God-incidences.

What do you think?

I can only repeat what I have seen. I am a philosopher, which means I think hard about things and analyze it all. This is what I know: God is moving in ways that many are sensing.

Get ready, the tide is coming in, here it is.

If you want to know more, call me or something. It this Jesus stuff sounds weird, that its ok. I am astounded at some of it too.
